In 2027, we want to craft a thoughtful and balanced program of classes, suitable for all skill levels. The Institute Team would like to suggest a few submission ideas to potential instructors to help us achieve that!

1) PT 101 - This is a new category of classes designed to provide a foundational program for new technicians to learn the ropes. Any topic - such as voicing, tuning, etc - may fall within this category, so long as it is truly for beginners. We REALLY want to see your submissions for this category!

2) Health & Wellness - Part of being a Well-Tempered Technician is taking care of yourself, whether that's physically or mentally. We'd love to see your submissions for this category, especially if you have professional training within the subject. You don't even have to be a piano technician to submit a class!

3) Shorter Presentations - This year we’re considering something new - Just one period where instructors teach a 40 minute class twice, with a 10 minute break in between. Attendees scramble over the break to another presentation. This is a great way for newer instructors to get their feet wet, and to teach on topics that don’t always warrant a full 90 minute class. Let us know in your submission if your class could be taught in this format.

4) Something we've never seen before - Classes from well-known instructors are often repeated over the years. This has incredible value, but we want to freshen things up a bit. If you're an experienced Convention instructor, this is our challange to you - Submit something never before taught at an Annual Convention!
